Baby Loves Disco

I took Tyler to Baby Loves Disco on Saturday. It was so much fun. There was dancing, a cool play room, healthy snacks, face painting, and colored hairspray. See the photo of Tyler's blue streak! There was a bubble machine, rattles, sheer scarves for them to dance with, and hula-hoops. He wasn't into the dancing as much as I was but he had a huge grin on his face when I would hold him and dance. I highly recommend this as an event to take your young child to!

Good News and Neutral News?

Today I took Tyler to see an Orthopedic Specialist because his left foot turns in when he walks. I wasn't very worried about it but our Physical Therapist thought it was a good idea to consult the doctor. Fortunately, the doctor said that it is nothing to worry about at this point and that it is actually fairly common! That is the good news. The neutral news is that I got back the results from my blood tests taken two weeks ago (trying to ascertain why I'm having miscarriages). My tests are fine. We have not received the results from the chromosome tests yet; Rick and I were both tested for that. I really don't think that there is a chromosome issue because we were able to have Tyler. :-) The reason I say the new is 'neutral' is because I would just like an answer!

The Strangers

Rick and I went to see a movie last night while Tyler's sitter watched him. We have not been on a date in a long time! We had free movie tickets so we saw The Strangers. I love, love, love scary movies. It was pretty good. I had a feeling that I'd have trouble sleeping. I think I slept about 3 hours in all. I went to bed late, was totally scared all night, and Tyler woke up a few times. The whole thing is kind of funny because my fear was self-imposed; no one made me watch the movie! It did not help that Tyler woke up at 5:50am when he usually wakes up at 8am. Oh well, that is what caffeine is for! As I'm typing this Tyler is eating crayons.

Blood Tests and Thai Food

Rick and I have blood tests yesterday to hopefully determine why I've been having miscarriages. I see the OB in two weeks and hopefully there will be some answers.

Had Thai food for lunch with Catherine and her kiddos today. It was nice. She is such a sweet gal whom I'm glad to be friends with. Tyler had fun eating rice with his fingers and taking ice out of my water glass. He's pretty funny at restaurants because the first thing he wants is the lemon slice out of my (and anyone else's) water glass. He eats the rind and everything.

He Gave it Away!

I have finally started my blog! Tyler just did something that was too funny not to blog it. Whenever he throws something in the trash he claps for himself. I was just sitting at the computer and he came up to me and clapped. I thought to myself, "Hmmm, I wonder what he just threw way," knowing that it must have something suspicious. I looked in the trash and he had thrown away the disposable eye patch he was supposed to be wearing. (He has a slightly lazy eye and we patch for two hours a day.) I said, "Hey, your two hours aren't up." Since the patch was on top of the trash and was not touching anything gross, I put it back on him. The reason this is funny to me and Rick is that if Tyler had not clapped, we would not have ever noticed that the patch was taken off early! The gig was up!
